The Generac 5993 provides 3,000 PSI of power and 2.8 gallons per minute (GPM) for a cleaning power rating of 8400.
It's powered by a Generac overhead valve (OHV) horizontal-shaft engine, the largest available for its respective pressure rating. Generac OHV engines come standard with low-oil shutdown to protect and prolong the life of the engine. Both the engine and pump are perfectly balanced over the axle and wheels for almost effortless maneuverability, regardless of terrain. Generac pro models also offer durable, welded roll-cage style frames that protect both the engine and pump from damage.
It comes with an ergonomically designed professional-grade spray gun, which features a unique cushion grip that reduces fatigue by minimizing vibration. The innovative easy-to-pull spray trigger can be held with a minimum of effort, and the Quick-Click nozzle tips are easy to replace. Additionally, this pressure washer's gun comes with an adjustable side handle for additional comfort and control when cleaning up high, down low, or anywhere in between.

What Is PSI and GPM?
Short for "pounds per square inch," PSI is a measure of the water pressure coming out of the power washer. A typical garden hose dispenses water at about 30-40 PSI, and a coin-operated car wash provides about 700 PSI. A power washer, by contrast, typically dispenses water at several thousand PSI. Another important factor in power washers is GPM, which stands for "gallons per minute" and describes how much water is flowing through the pressure washer.
Together, they provide your power washer's cleaning power. Multiply PSI (which gives you the power to lift dirt and grime) by GPM (which provides the necessary quantity of water to wash it away) to get the cleaning power rating. The higher the number, the greater the cleaning power.

I ordered the Generac Pressure Washer after much reviewing and searching. It had good ratings and seemed quite a bit of Presure Washer for the money. Same price everywhere but some wanted freight unloading of up to $50. I chose Amazon because I have ordered quite a bit before with good luck. I received the Washer on date they said via UPS so no freight problems. There was just the Washer and parts in the box with virtually no packing except thin strip of paper stuck in box serving no purpose. A piece was broken where spray gun hangs and a couple of screws and allen wrench missing for putting on Hose Hanger. I notified Amazon stating what happened and thought it was minor but for the price I paid (629.00) I expected it to be corrected. Expecting parts, Amazon to my surprise, sent a whole new Washer and sent a label to send other one back. This one packed much better. Had quite a bit of trouble finding out how much oil for Washer Pump. No amount in instruction manual and Generac said to the "full line". Trouble is there was no full line. Just a long notch in dipstick with two vent holes above. Finally found out from Representative from another Company selling Pressure Washers. Anyway, used only once so far due to heat wave in our area but worked very well. Started on second pull right out of box after servicing. Also am very happy with Amazon in the way they handled the whole ordeal and to Angel on the Chat Line for being very nice and taking care of the problem. R. East
I have used this pressure washer for about 5 hours on two separate days since purchasing. I cleaned the front of the house (siding) and the front steps (concrete). I used the green nozzle and was surprised how good of a job it did, especially on the concrete. I next did the concrete driveway and it looks like a new concrete job. Machine is very easy to use. Just read the instructions so you know how to make it last.
